It's called 'Unbroken', and you might see yourself in it.

Sometime last year, we gave you the heads up that Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie was in Queensland and on the lookout for some “very skinny Caucasians” who’d be “up for a haircut” to appear as extras in her upcoming movie, Unbroken. Well, we hope you did a good job, ’cause now the movie’s weird half-trailer/half-news segment has dropped, and we all get to judge your work, you skinny Caucasian!

Shot in various sound-stages and rural towns around New South Wales and Queensland, the film stars Jack O’Connell (aka Cook from Skins), Garrett Hedlund (aka Mr Kirsten Dunst), and any number of random Australians, and is based on the fairly insane true story of American Olympic middle-distance runner and WWII prisoner of war, Louis Zamperini. The script was penned by Joel and Ethan Coen, but it looks like absolutely nothing they’ve ever been involved with, unless we’re being misled by this preview and a drunk John Goodman drops by later to shoot up the 1936 Olympics.

The studio’s also released a couple of pictures of Angelina directing hard on-set, just in case you thought the whole thing was a ‘ghost writer’ type of situation.

I used that notebook in high school! The film will be getting a worldwide release around Christmas. Sorry, promising movie stars from Queensland: until then, you’re just another skinny Caucasian.
