Bentley Restaurant + Bar / 27 O’Connell Street, Sydney

Bentley is hardly flying under the radar; head chef/owner Brent Savage just took out the SMH’s Chef of the year award and sommelier/owner Nick Hildebrandt won the Gourmet Traveller Sommelier of the year. Add to that OG/owner Glen Goodwin running the floor, and it’s a pretty unfuckwithable package.

Tips: One of my favourite Sydney things to do is smash a cheap bowl of noodles and then head to Bentley in my track pants for dessert (the suits may give you some dirty looks, though). The Mandarin ice cream, liquorice and coconut dessert is one of the best things you will ever put in your mouth.
