The Teaser For ‘Stranger Things’ Season Four Says Goodbye To Hawkins
The Upside Down awaits!
Any good television show knows that each new season has to totally obliterate the world of the last one. From the looks of the teaser for Stranger Things season four, showrunners The Duffer Brothers are taking that to the extreme.
Yep, we’ve got our first brief look at the forthcoming season via a thirty-second clip posted to the Stranger Things socials. Mind that emphasis on the word ‘brief’; this thing is little more than a confirmation of the fact that we are getting another season (as if Netflix would ever let this cash cow go!) and one pretty big hint towards the show’s future.
Have a quick watch, and then we’ll talk about it on the other side.

So, the clues are written right on the wall for that one, hey?
That nether world that the title card ends up in is the dark, disturbing realm of the Upside Down. And the teaser’s logline — “we’re not in Hawkins any more” — makes it really clear that the show is tipping headfirst into this new locale. I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole gang gets trapped in the Upside Down, rather than just one or two lost souls at a time.
Of course, it’ll be a long time till we find out either way. Season four won’t release till December 2020. That means you’ve got a lot of free time to start speculating as to how this thing will play out.
