The Gang’s Back Together In The First Trailer For The ‘Trainspotting’ Sequel
Today The Hollywood Reporter has announced that a reboot of Paul Verhoeven’s 1997 cult film about an interstellar war between humanity and giant bug aliens, is in the works. It wasn’t that successful when it came out — Verhoeven’s satirical take on fascism and the increasing militarism of America seemed to rub some people up the wrong way — but it later found a dedicated following online.
The reboot will be written by the team behind the Baywatch reboot (!!) and produced by the guy who made the Total Recall remake (!!!). It’s unclear if the new Starship Troopers will mimic the original’s lust for creative and brutal death scenes, but here’s hoping!
