Here’s Everything That Went Down At Splendour In The Grass Inside The Captain’s Cove

Splendour in the Grass might be over for another year, but we’ll always have the memories of the music and the epic fun times from 2019. And one of the biggest celebrations of the festival went down inside the Captain’s Cove.

Following a wicked opening night do, the Captain’s Cove was a four-day affair with DJs, live performers, and photo ops. The Captain himself and his crew were on the scene to challenge partiers to games of limbo, dance-offs, and balloon-popping competitions. The swashbuckling team handed out prizes and pirate hats all weekend — and it was all thanks to Captain Morgan.

It was the ultimate destination for good times during Splendour. We can still taste The Sun Kissed Captain cocktail and the Captain’s Spiced Mojito was as popular as ever.

Throughout all the fun and games, roving entertainers kept the crowds in awe. The Mirror People bounced glittering light across the dance floor as bangers banged. Bird Bones and their skeletal bird puppet friends danced all weekend long. Grinder Girl shot sparks across the stage when her angle grinder met her steel body suit.

Mythical Mermaids filled the cove with bubbles, completing the open seas vibe. And at night, fire performers lit up the night sky.
