Some Melbourne Comedians Captured Glorious Footage Of A Drunk Guy Fighting A Car On The Gold Coast
What a country.
Melbourne comedy duo Luke Goodall and Marc Gallagher are a couple of dudes who make funny video sketches and stick them on the internet. One video that they uploaded late last week, though, was a little more spontaneous. While staying in a Gold Coast motel, the pair recorded footage of some drunken yahoo whaling on a grey Toyota in the motel carpark.
To clarify: not a guy trying to get into a car and getting frustrated, or someone trying to steal a car and freaking out. Just a shirtless man, filled with some vast, unknowable rage, physically punching and kicking a car, for around forty minutes. It’s oddly beautiful, in a way.
On first glance it seems a bit convenient that two video comedians just stumble across a hilarious situation and film it, but if it’s a hoax it’s a pretty good one. The man’s eventually arrested by police, which would require some pretty over-the-top devotion to the gag, and the car itself gets pretty banged up.
The video’s clocked up around 11,000 views on the Goodall and Gallagher Facebook page so far, and if things pan out as expected it’s more than likely to be the subject of a breathless, 20-minute report on A Current Affair. In the meantime, lock up your Corollas.
