Fans Are Roasting ‘The Simpsons’ Over A Glaring Error In An Iconic Episode
Whenever you notice something like that, a wizard did it.
Continuity has never exactly been a big strength of The Simpsons. Let’s not forget that Smithers used to be a black guy. But even by the low standard the show has set for itself over the years, a glaring error that was recently highlighted by executive producer Matt Selman is being roasted by incredulous fans.
The episode in question is ‘And Maggie Makes Three’ from season six, in which Homer recounts the story of Maggie’s birth. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like anyone mentioned that to the animators at the time.

The error has since been mocked by a number of people involved in making The Simpsons, including voice actor Yeardley Smith and producer Al Jean.
Oooops.

Some people have suggested that the photo may actually be of Lisa as a baby. But even if you buy that explanation, it doesn’t explain this:

I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to think this show about the yellow people with four fingers mightn’t be 100 percent accurate.
