She-Hulk has been around for some 40 years, the brainchild of Marvel honcho Stan Lee and his longsuffering illustrator John Buscema. But don’t tell angry men on the internet that — they reckon she’s the creation of politically-correct SJWs gone wild.

The whole controversy was kicked off in the early hours of this morning when, as part of Disney’s annual entertainment expo, it was announced that a She-Hulk series was being put into production.

She-Hulk, the alterego of Jennifer Walters, came into being after recieving a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner. Like him, she fights bad guys, stops crime, and teams up with other superhero buddies to save the world. Unlike him, she retains her intelligence and her powers of speech when she grows big and angry. Think of the ‘Smart Hulk’ of Avengers: Endgame and you’ve somewhat got the picture.

So far, details on the actual series itself are pretty scant — all we know is that it’s set to debut on Disney’s new streaming platform, Disney+. That means we’ve got no showrunners, casting news, or any suggestion as to how strictly the series will stick to the original storyline of the comics.

What we do have, however, is a bunch of angry men who are deciding to use the one life that they get to live getting angry about the mere existence of a female Hulk.

Of course, for every extremely vocal internet troll (many of whom, it’s safe to say, are only jumping on this ‘She-Hulk is an SJW’ thing in order to get people on the internet angry) there’s someone with the sense to point out the real history of the character.

Also, if you find you are getting angry about a show that hasn’t even been written yet, might I suggest not doing that?
