People Are Impressed By Shannon Noll’s ARIAs Clapback To Guy Sebastian
"I've always come 2nd, just ask my wife!"
Guy Sebastian was responsible for the hosting duties at last night’s ARIA awards.
During his opening monologue, Guy poked fun at Australian Idol royalty and good friend Shannon ‘Nollsy’ Noll.
After a couple of witty digs at other Aussie artists like John Farnham, Anthony Callea and The Veronicas, Guy set his sites on Nollsy. As it is known across Australia, Shannon Noll came in second to Guy Sebastian in the first ever season of Australian Idol.
At the start of the show, Guy made a joke about Nollsy coming in second place. “Now, if you do win, please just be gracious or at least pretend. I’ve gotten pretty good at it,” Guy said. “I’ve been nominated about 30 times. I’ve only won three. But there’s no shame in coming second. Just ask Nollsy!”
The pair are known for their social media banter and trolling, so the comment came at no surprise. Nollsy took the comment on the chin and took to Twitter to address Guy’s comment with some information we definitely didn’t need.

In the tweet, Nollsy explained that he always knew that Guy would win. But for some reason he also took the chance to tell the world that he loves to make his wife “come” first.
“When I met you brother I knew you would win, have always been proud that I came 2nd to you cause you are amazing,” he tweeted. “But I’ve always come second, just have to ask my wife!”
Guy then responded to Nollsy with a nice, simple and not TMI reply. “Love ya bro! You’re the best!,” he tweeted.
