Robin Hood is in cinemas on November 22.

One of the most hotly anticipated cinematic releases of the year, the new Robin Hood takes place in a gritty, violent Medieval England, with lots of swords and archery.

Taron Egerton’s Robin Hood is a war-hardened crusader, who together with Jamie Foxx’s Little John, mount a revolt against the corrupt English crown. Eve Hewson stars as Maid Marian, while Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan portrays Will Scarlett — Robin Hood’s half-brother — and Aussie export Ben Mendelsohn plays the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham.

So it’s not your grandma’s Robin Hood – we’re talking less Merry Men and dancing forest friends, and more Fast and the Furious but with horses and flaming arrows.

Directed by Peaky Blinders’ Otto Bathurst, it’s a high-octane summer blockbuster.
