I cannot stress this enough, the Queer Eye folks have a new video where they spend fifteen minutes talking to a dog. And it’s adorable.

Honestly, this was like a sandblaster to the layered grime of my cynicism. I’m pretty done with Queer Eye, pretty sick of their faces. But then they go and give a BEAUTIFUL DOG a proper Queer Eye makeover, and it’s actually beautiful.

It’s like they KNOW my weaknesses. Every time I think I’m done with them, they reel me back in. I love this so much. I LOVE IT.

It’s not even just about hanging out with a dog — they’re actually pushing an aggressively wholesome pro-rescue dog adoption agenda, which is absolutely one of my passions. There’s no excuse for not adopting a shelter dog! I’m unfortunately looking at you, mum.

Anyway, the canine hero of this video is a sweet hound named Lacey, who is three years and a stumpy little blend of Corgi, Beagle and some Basset.

She was rescued from probable euthanasia, and the North Shore Animal League America nominated her for makeover by the Queer Eye friends.

It’s an inherently wholesome episode. Inherently. There’s a moment where Bobby just gives the dog a gentle kiss on the head, and it’s perfect.

“Puppers love treats, and puppers deserve love”, says Antoni, and then he makes some delicious dog biscuits.

Anyway, watch the video. It’s perfect. And spoiler: the dog gets adopted at the end!!!!!!!!
