Growing up in the public eye, being coddled and spoilt and separated from peers, having the mistakes we all make during puberty — bad haircuts, bad break-ups, experimentation — broadcast all over the world and the web. Take this capuchin monkey Winston, for instance. Appearing as just a baby in the Dr. Doolittle films, he’s now being dragged around the breakfast TV circuit clad in a humiliating nappy, to help promote a zoo he probably doesn’t even give a shit about. So when the KHOU-TV host Deborah Duncan taunted him with a delicious grape, his subsequent outburst of inconsolable rage was the first thing we should have expected.
