Guys, it’s that time of year again: nominations for the Australian of the Year Awards are open.
You probably already know some amazing people doing great things… and don’t you reckon they deserve some attention for their work?
Maybe you know someone who’s come up with a way to solve a pressing social problem like 2016 Award recipients Orange Sky Laundry. Or perhaps you’re mates with a person who’s fighting the good fight to improve the lives of others. Whatever it is, the Australian of the Year Awards want to know about it.
Junket is coming back for its third year running and we’re excited to be joining forces with the Australian of the Year awards once more to celebrate the achievements and contributions of great Australians. Everyone you nominate will be in the running to attend Junket this year, and you’ll also have the opportunity to nominate them for Australian of the Year.
So have your say. Be great and nominate someone who deserves some recognition; someone whose ideas for change are making Australia a better place. It’s easy – just head here to submit an online nomination before August 6. Nominees must be Australian citizens aged between 16 and 30 to be considered for the Young Australian of the Year Award.
Know someone over 30? You can still nominate them in the other three categories – Australian of the Year, Senior Australian of the Year and Australia’s Local Hero.
Go on and make someone’s year.
