A week after pissing off sooky racists across America with an ad campaign featuring NFL player Colin Kaepernick, Nike has dropped a new commercial highlighting female athletes including a pair of kickass Aussies.

The minute-long ad features appearances from both Matildas striker Sam Kerr and boxer and AFLW star Tayla Harris. They’re joined by Thai runner Rachwin Wong, Japanese skateboarder Aori Nishimura and South Korean dancer Amber Liu, among others.

The clip also contains a brief appearance by American tennis great Serena Williams, who has been in the news after her dramatic exit from the US Open, which in turn inspired this extremely terrible cartoon from Herald Sun cartoonist Mark Knight.

Point is, Nike clearly isn’t afraid of a little controversy.
