Miley: The Movement Will Answer All Your Burning Questions About Miley, Hot Dog Guns
It's the behind-the-scenes doco you didn't know you wanted.
Think you’ve seen all there is to see of Miley Cyrus? Well, that’s a tricky question: a) Firstly, it’s rhetorical. You don’t have to answer; b) If you’re basing your answer on her controversial VMA performance, the answer is “enough”; and c) If you’ve watched the music video for her latest single ‘Wrecking Ball’, the answer is pretty much YES I’VE SEEN EVERYTHING.
Still, according to MTV, we haven’t. Coming our way is Miley: The Movement, an hour-long doco that followed Miley Cyrus for four months in the lead up to her performance at the VMAs last month and next month’s release of her, er, colourful album Bangerz. It seems MTV took their professional following duties seriously, keeping cameras on Miley at all times: in her house, on the plane, on the road, in the recording studio, in her… you get the idea.
But just what can we expect to learn about Miley from this behind-the-scenes footage? Judging from the trailer, it seems like she’s still into terrifying giant teddies (of course); she’s apparently solved her existential identity crisis (“I was born to like, become who I am right now”); and she really, really loves onesies (“Okay, your onesie is insane. I love your onesie. It’s so good.”)
Also, that’s Britney Spears in the trailer, isn’t it? Why is she talking to Britney about shooting a hot dog gun?
Miley: The Movement will premiere locally on MTV on October 4, which is coincidentally close to the October 8 release date of Bangerz. Hooray for calculated marketing!
