Disney’s The Little Mermaid remake has found its little mermaid, with the studio announcing on Friday that singer Halle Bailey will slip into a fish costume (that’s how they movies, right?) as the live-action Ariel. They’ve also started locking down the supporting roles, with Awkwafina cast as Scuttle the Seagull and Melissa McCarthy reportedly being eyed for the villainous Ursula.

But there’s plenty of other fish (roles) in the sea (movie) that have yet to be cast. Chief among them: Ariel’s love interest Prince Eric. And while I’m sure we’ll probably end up with one of the Jonas Brothers, Twitter users have come up with plenty of “helpful” alternatives.

They weren’t just trying to cast Eric, either.

At a certain point, they weren’t even casting for The Little Mermaid.

The Little Mermaid begins shooting in 2020, presumably with none of these people involved.
