‘KRudd Dog’, And Other Highlights From Kevin Rudd’s Ask Me Anything
The Prime Minister went on Reddit last night. He talked about the NBN, mental health, marriage equality and his cat. Also, he got a new rap name.
From 6pm until 8pm last night, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd took part in the global institution that is the Reddit Ask Me Anything.
Joining the likes of Barack Obama, Bill Gates and Psy, the PM was posed questions by Reddit users, which were up-voted by other Redditors before he picked the ones he wanted to answer.
There were a lot of dumb questions, but a lot of great ones too: while he avoided a predictably huge chunk of questions related to privacy laws and the NSA, and for the most part stuck to the relatively bland politician-on-Reddit script, he did talk about home ownership, military intervention in Syria, marriage equality and the Murdoch press, and for maybe the first time in Reddit AMA history, he announced a policy.
He also posted photos of his cats, because of the internet.
