Back in Hollywood’s classier days, it wasn’t odd for a famous matinee idol to have their name lent to some bartender’s boozy creation. That’s how we got tipsy favourites like Rudolph Valentino’s ‘Blood and Sand’ and Mary Pickford’s, uh, ‘Mary Pickford’.
“Who?”, you ask. Good point — today’s cocktail lists need updating with familiar faces! So, with the help of illustrator Bryn Desmond-Jones and designer Chris Buchanan, we’ve put together a selection of cocktails inspired by some of our more current pop culture heroes and favourite moments. You probably never imagined you’d end up drinking a ‘Red Wedding’ when you were crying over dead Robb Stark all those months ago.
