Jordan Raskopoulos Has Been Trolling Homophobic Gamers By Claiming Mario Is Gay

Aussie comedic legend Jordan Raskopoulos has been making homophobic gamers mad by insisting Mario is gay, and she’s correct.

You may recall back in September 2021 that Chris Pratt was cast to voice Mario in an upcoming animated adaptation. The yet-to-be-titled Mario film is due out at the end of the year.

In the meantime,  Aussie comedy legend Jordan Raskopoulos has been enraging gamers on TikTok by insisting the world-famous pixelated plumber is gay. Jordan started making the TikToks after Chris Pratt’s casting was announced when she claimed that the tragedy of Pratt’s casting was that Mario, as a gay man, would not be played by a gay actor.

Chaos has ensued since. Over the last few months, Jordan has made TikTok after TikTok determinedly defending her claim. The most iconic of these have been arguing that Mario is gay because his last name is in fact sunshine, and he has a rainbow flag behind his name “like on all gay people’s passports.”

At the same time, she argues that the reason Wario and Mario have the same last name is not due to them being, brothers but because they’re married. “They started their small plumbing business in the ’80s when there was a lot of homophobia going around, and that’s how they could live without harassment.”

Raskopoulos has made over half a dozen videos defending Mario, “the famous homosexual plumber”, since September.

These TikToks include one in which Jordan overdubs an interview with Mario’s creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, so it seems that Myamoto realised “Mario was gay very early on”. My personal favourite is this video in which Jordan says the glorious sentence, “His name is Mario Giavvani Sunshine and he is a proud homosexual small business owner.”

“According to Lady Gaga, he was born this way,” Raskopoulos answers in another TikTok. As per usual, Jordan Raskopoulos is speaking nothing but the truth. View some of the TikToks below.
