We don’t put enough respect on the name of Jennifer Garner.

After all, what other actor better defined the early thousands? She transformed the role of Sydney Bristow into a counter-cultural icon, elevated the wholesome shlock of Suddenly 30 into a masterpiece of the form, and was pretty damn great in Michael Bay’s swollen war epic Pearl Harbour.

You can keep your respectable, lauded 2000 auteurs. I’m happy praying at the altar of one Ms. Jennifer Garner.

Which is why it’s such a delight to see the actor finally get her dues, in response to a video of her, uh, making bagels.

Yep, Garner isn’t onscreen much these days — her last major role was in the only so-so received Peppermint. But she’s not wasting her time away from the set. Nope, she’s transforming into a new-age celebrity chef via the power of Facebook.

And the videos are, somewhat predictably, wholesome as all hell. Which is why the internet has decided to make them go extremely viral.

Take, for instance, the response to this video from may of this year, in which Garner tries and fails to use Siri to help her proof the oven, gets confused by sliced dough, and generally potters around the place like a ray of light brought to life.

Magic.
