Glades’ Cover Of Silverchair’s ‘Straight Lines’ Will Straight Up Give You Chills
Who knew 'Straight Lines' could sound great as a pop tune?
Earlier this morning, Sydney pop trio Glades dropped into the triple j studios for their run at Like A Version.
After gliding through their latest single ‘Eyes Wide Shut’, they decided to take on a modern Aussie classic: Silverchair’s 2007 thumper, ‘Straight Lines’.
Being Glades, they gave the rock track a vocoder-laced future pop makeover, although they still found some room to punch out those beloved guitar lines at the end. Watch it all go down below.
The trio have just come off the back of the release of their debut album To Love You, which features their massive single ‘Not About You’ — which is one of the most spun tracks on triple j this year.
