Gang Of Youths And Mumford & Sons Covered The Middle East’s ‘Blood’ And We Can’t Stop Weeping
Happy Monday: prepare to cry.
Having finished up their Australian tour a couple of months back, Sydney’s Gang of Youths are now furiously busy on the road in Europe with UK folk-farmers Mumford & Sons.
And, judging by the snippets that have been filtering through the internet, it appears to be going very well. Over the weekend the two bands stopped off in Barcelona, and teamed up on-stage for a cover of The Middle East’s heart-tearing ‘Blood’.
Gang of Youths premiered their cover of ‘Blood’ back in September 2017 on triple j’s Like A Version — it may just be the saddest LAV we’ve ever heard — and it ended up sliding into the Hottest 100 at #41. They haven’t performed it much live, making the weekend performances very special indeed.
