Maisie Williams Has No Time For People Who Felt Uncomfortable During Arya’s Sex Scene
However weird it was for you, it was definitely weirder for her.
Maisie Williams has seen your tweets about her sex scene in the latest episode of Game of Thrones. And she wants you to know that no matter how weird it was for you, it was definitely weirder for her.
Arya’s scene with Gendry garnered a strong reaction from viewers, some of whom felt a little uncomfortable given they’ve been following the character since she was a child.

Ugh that Arya scene was too weird since we’ve been watching her since she was a little kid.

Others pointed out that as an adult woman Arya is perfectly entitled to take agency over her own body, while still others were just glad the show featured a sex scene that didn’t involve rape and/or incest and/or a weird murderous smoke baby (remember that??)
In any case, Williams herself has finally weighed in on the debate about her character, in a tweet reminding fans that hey, it’s all relative.
if u feel uncomfortable just know that my mother and my step dad and my 2 sisters and my 4 brothers have all probably watched this too ahahakillmeehehe
