Childish Gambino Australia Tour Cancelled At Last Minute Due To Injury
Childish Gambino — the rapper alter ego of Donald Glover — has cancelled his Australia tour just a week and a half before he was to perform, likely due to a month-old foot injury.
“I’m not ready to on 100% shows,” the artist said in a statement this morning. “Apologies to the fans. I will be back soon.”
Tour promoter Live Nation said:
“Live Nation is working with the artist to try and reschedule the dates for a new time period, we ask fans to please stay tuned — any updates will be available on Live Nation’s website, Facebook and Twitter.”

The sold-out tour had planned to take Gambino to Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra’s Spilt Milk festival.
It was reported last month that the rapper broke his foot during a performance in Dallas, Texas. TMZ said that Gambino attended earlier media events in a wheelchair and leg brace, but then later removed supports for the Dallas performance — the US entertainment outlet suggested that he aggravated the injury on stage.
Gambino has said this will be his last tour ever.
