A month out from their joint-headline ‘Run’ tour, which is making its way through the States this June, July and August, Jay Z and Beyonce have released one of the most expensive and opulent trailers since that pair of high profile San Franciscan lawyers sent out their Save The Date.

Helmed by music video director Melina Matsoukas (whose roster includes Solange, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kylie Monogue and Katy Perry, as well as Jay and Bey), the clip follows the pair of outlaws — let’s call them Bonnie And Clyde 2 — as they wreak havoc through the city. There are guns, babes, money, fast cars, bank heists, chase scenes, and that obligatory shot where a pair of outlaws walk away from an explosion that’s behind them in slow motion.

And yes, there are celebrities: Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Emily Rossum, Blake Lively, Jake Gyllenhaal, Guillermo Díaz and Rashida Jones all make a brief appearance. Most impressively, the trailer warns that the full film is ‘Coming Never’ — so unless a whole heap more footage was shot to thread through their live show like a loose narrative (not unlikely), it was an exorbitant amount of star power to nab just for some five-second cameos.

Solange isn’t in it. JUST SAYING.
