Andrew Bolt Is Sour As Fuck That Scott Morrison Beat Peter Dutton To Become PM
The government may have imploded, but at least Andrew Bolt isn't happy.
Andrew Bolt, who hasn’t stopped bitching and moaning since Malcolm Turnbull knifed Tony Abbott, appears to be suffering from a serious case of sour grapes after a (relative) moderate beat out a raging conservative for the leadership of the Liberal Party. Again.
On Friday, Scott Morrison became Prime Minister, beating out Peter Dutton. It was a hilarious self-own by Dutton, who did everything he could to unseat Turnbull only to fall flat on his face at the final hurdle.
Bolt had been crowing about Dutton’s inevitable victory, so naturally he was pretty peeved things didn’t go his way.

Upon learning that Morrison would challenge Dutton, Bolt wrote on his News Corp blog that Morrison “must be stopped”.
Once the result of the ballot was made public, Bolt complained that Dutton “did all the work, took the heat, only for Morrison to take the prize, thanks to Malcolm Turnbull’s delays and smears.”
“Will this heal the Liberals?” he asked. “My own view: I am sceptical, but I will judge Morrison by policy and performance.”
Bolt also accused Morrison of “ratting out” on Tony Abbott in favour of Malcolm Turnbull back in 2015.
He had more to say on his Sky News show on Friday night.
“I feel more positive about this change than I thought I would,” Bolt said. Gee, I’d hate to see him feeling negative.
Bolt went on to ask whether the Liberals had “just changed the salesman without changing the product?”
“If that’s the case then all this pain may be for nothing,” he said.
To be honest, we’re not convinced that Morrison is that much better than Dutton. But honestly, if it means we get to watch Bolt have a strop, maybe it’s worth it?
Things to be grateful for today: Andrew Bolt et al are currently in a furious sulk.
