‘The Age’ Just Made A Hilarious Fuck Up About The AFL Grand Final
Sorry Dogs fans. Guess you really were dreaming.
Hey Doggies fans, remember that massive, historic, drought-breaking grand final that your boys won over the weekend? It was literally the best day of your life?
Yeah, turns out that the whole thing was a dream and none of it actually happened. Sorry.
The Best Reactions To The Western Bulldogs’ Historic Grand Final Victory
In an embarrassing slip up, The Age has accidentally run a half-page ad for Victoria University congratulating the Western Bulldogs on their stellar season “in spite of the disappointment of the Grand Final loss.”
“The Bulldogs showed incredible heart and sportsmanship until the final siren, led by skipper and VU student Easton Wood,” reads the ad.
The University presumably provided the paper with two copies of the ad, one to be run in the event of a win, the other in the event of a loss. The team at The Herald Sun ran the correct version, and are probably feeling pretty damn smug about it right now.
Oh dear same ad ostensibly but @theage ran the wrong one correct copy in the @theheraldsun pic.twitter.com/WPZAIASRr1

In retrospect, Bulldogs supporters should have known it was too good to be true. I just hope someone lets Franco Cozzo down gently.
