This Legendary 8-Year-Old Just Convinced Nutri-Grain To Put More Women On Their Packaging
Because it's never too young to take down late-capitalist overlords!
You’re never too young to fight The Man, as evidenced by this wholesome story about an Aussie Year 2 student who took on Nutri-Grain over a lack of representation, and bloody well won!
Canberra eight-year-old and future Prime Minister Daliah Lee first wrote to Nutri-Grain parent company Kellogg’s back in May, after noticing a distinct lack of female sportspeople on the packaging of her fave cereal.

The mini activist was dismayed to get a fairly generic “your feedback has been passed on” BS response from the breakfast moguls but with justice firmly in her sights, the setback only resolved her to fight harder to get some god damn ladies on her cereal box.
Daliah turned to the internet and with the help of her parents started a change.org petition to keep up the good fight and finally last week Kellogg’s woke up to the inequality at play and formally responded to her, promising change was coming.
“Hearing Daliah’s passion and, as a company that values diversity and inclusion, we’ve decided that we will update the back-of-pack imagery with images of both females and males. This will be rolled out in 2019, so that we can continue to inspire all Aussies no matter their gender,” reads the statement from Kellogg’s as per the SMH.
HELL YEAH DALIAH YOU LITTLE AGITATOR YOU!
Daliah is reportedly over the moon about the announcement, however, she is rightfully hesitant to celebrate just yet, promising to maintain her Nutri-Grain boycott until she sees Kellogg’s words take action.
She’ll return to Nutri-Grain “Only when I see the evidence they haven’t lied to me,” she told reporters, before flicking her candy cigarette into the ground, saying “no further questions ya news jockeys” and hooning off on her tricycle. I assume.
Distrust of late-stage capitalist overlords seems to be starting younger and younger these days… we’re so proud.
