Triple j has announced the nominations for the 2018 J Awards, celebrating the best and brightest musos kicking around in our own backyard.

There are plenty of familiar names among the nominees, with the likes Amy Shark, Camp Cope, Courtney Barnett and Tash Sultana in the running for the triple j Australian Album of the Year. Meanwhile, Angie McMahon, G Flip, Kian, Kwame, Slowly Slowly will duke it out for the Unearthed Artist of the Year.

The winner of the 2018 J Awards will be announced by Veronica and Lewis on triple j from 4pm on Friday, November 23. Check out the film list of nominees below.
